ADVERTISING
In most cases, Reservoir Video takes a 20% agency fee for each ad spend. For example, if the client spends $100 on a video ad, Reservoir Video keeps $20 as a service and maintenance fee and the remaining $80 goes towards buying the impressions.
Generally speaking, the client chooses how much they want to spend and for what length of time. The budget then dictates the number of impressions or times the ad will be seen by the target audience.
Advertising Rates
Over-the-top (OTT): this is a funny term for video advertising on connected TVs and video streaming apps; this includes advertising on premium TV apps like HGTV, CNN, FOX, PlutoTV, FreeVee, etc. And also on smart TV platforms like Roku, Amazon and Apple TV and on handheld devices
Minimum required ad spend on OTT is $500 per month
YouTube: this is commercial adverting on YouTube in the form of skippable and non-skippable videos that play before or during the main content
The client can set their own ad budget and schedule but we suggest an ad spend of $100 per week
Meta (Facebook and Instagram): this is advertising users see while scrolling their social feed, stories and reels

Preroll: Again another funny name, but this type of video advertising is seen while the targeted audience is reading a news article, a blog post or many other types of similar online situations

Cable TV: good old fashioned TV advertsing, the kind your parents grew up with — sometimes the old ways work best

Reservoir Video suggests running an ad for at least 3 months if the client's budget allows. Why 3 months? Because it allows more time to gather analytics about how an ad is performing and to steer the ad towards outlets where it can perform better. But this is just a suggestion and not a requirement.
